The Ministry of Municipalities and Housing (MOMAH) announced the issuance and renewal of more than 274,000 commercial licenses during the first half of 2026. 
This included the issuance of more than 97,000 new commercial licenses and the renewal of more than 177,000 commercial licenses, the ministry explained in a statement.
It added that during the same period it provided more than 173,000 services related to commercial licenses, including more than 91,000 license amendment transactions, more than 43,000 transactions to add commercial activities, in addition to more than 39,000 license ownership transfer transactions.
