Saudi Minister of Municipalities and Housing and Chairman of the Real Estate General Authority (REGA) Majid Al-Hogail announced the completion of more than 2 million real estate registrations, marking progress in implementing the Real Estate Registration Law, as the number of properties designated for registration exceeded 5 million across the Kingdom, in line with the registration phases and schedules set for each area.

The real estate registration system maintains accurate property records covering descriptions, legal and physical status, geospatial locations and property history.

Al-Hogail said the next phase will see registration expand across all cities and regions of the Kingdom, alongside a broader range of digital services.

Mohammed Al-Sulaiman, CEO of the National Real Estate Registration Services Co. (Real Estate Registry-RER), said each issued property record combines the legal strength of a title deed, which gains absolute evidentiary status within one year, with a property register preserving precise geospatial data and the property’s history.

This streamlines the customer journey and enhances certainty in transactions.
