BEIJING — A magnitude-5.2 earthquake hit southwest China’s autonomous region of Guangxi early Monday killing two people, according to the China Earthquake Networks Center. Four people were sent to the hospital, although none of them had life-threatening injuries, state news agency Xinhua said. More than 7,000 residents in the city of Liuzhou have been relocated, while emergency teams continue search and rescue operations near the epicenter. National and regional emergency responses have been activated. Transportation disruptions were also flagged by railway authorities as they inspected the integrity of rail line infrastructure.
