Saudi Arabia ranked first among G20 countries based on data reported by countries to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) Indicators Database, according to the 2025 Safety Index.

The results showed that 97.7% of residents in the Kingdom said they feel safe walking alone at night in their neighborhoods.

Among Saudi nationals, 97.0% reported feeling safe, while the figure stood at 98.2% for non-Saudis.

The authority said the results reflect the role of relevant government entities in enhancing safety across the Kingdom’s regions and governorates.

It added that the achievement aligns with efforts to strengthen economic, food, environmental, health, social, political, intellectual, technological, and cybersecurity, while improving public services in line with Saudi Vision 2030.
