Company executives at the stake transfer ceremony
Saudi Agricultural and Livestock Investment Co. (SALIC), a subsidiary of the Public Investment Fund (PIF), transferred ownership of the remaining 50% stake in National Grain Co. to National Grain Supply Co. (SABIL).
The integration combines SABIL’s expertise in managing strategic wheat reserves, its nationwide network of silos and storage facilities, and its grain handling and distribution capabilities with National Grain Company’s international sourcing expertise, specialization in grain and feed inputs, and domestic commercial presence, SALIC said in a statement.
These combined capabilities are expected to broaden SABIL’s commodity portfolio, strengthen its ability to meet domestic demand, and expand its role in the Kingdom’s grain and feed ecosystem.
The transfer advances SALIC’s strategy of connecting its domestic and international investments. In July 2026, SALIC announced the integration of Continental Farmers Group into Olam Agri to enhance its international sourcing capabilities.
Bringing National Grain Company under SABIL extends this approach within the Kingdom, linking the supplies SALIC secures globally with domestic logistics and commercial capabilities.
Under the new structure, National Grain Company will remain a separate legal entity wholly owned by SABIL. The two companies will operate within an integrated national grain and feed input ecosystem, supporting supply continuity and contributing to the Kingdom’s food security objectives and Saudi Vision 2030.
SALIC announced in July that it would integrate Continental Farmers Group into Olam Agri to strengthen integration across its global agricultural investments and expand its commercial, operational and logistics capabilities, according to Argaam’s data.
