Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Energy announced the winners of eight licenses covering the establishment, development, operation, and maintenance of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) filling and storage facilities, as well as wholesale LPG distribution to consumers.
Under the tender, Unigaz Arabia secured three licenses to establish LPG filling and storage facilities in Riyadh, Hail, and Al-Ahsa in the Eastern Province, in addition to a license for wholesale LPG distribution across the Kingdom.
A consortium of NGC Energy LLC Saudi Arabia and Zamil Group Investment Co. secured two licenses to establish LPG filling and storage facilities in Jeddah and Jazan, in addition to a wholesale LPG distribution license covering the entire Kingdom.
Best Gas Carrier Co. (Tazweed) secured a license to distribute LPG wholesale to consumers throughout the Kingdom.
The ministry said it had previously invited experienced LPG investors to compete for the licenses and completed the prequalification, tendering, bid review, and evaluation processes.
The move aims to expand LPG supply coverage across Saudi Arabia, encourage competition, improve consumer services, enhance provider efficiency, and raise operational standards to strengthen supply security.
