Saudi ports reported a 37.04% decline in cargo throughput tonnage to 14.38 million tons in May 2026, compared to 22.84 million tons in the same period a year ago.

Total general cargo throughput reached 471.080 tons, while liquid bulk cargo amounted to 5.49 million tons and dry bulk cargo totaled 2.4 million tons.

The ports overseen by MAWANI handled more than 14.5 million tons of cargo in April 2026. Total general cargo reached 514,240 tons, while liquid bulk cargo stood at 23.43 million tons and dry bulk cargo totaled 2.82 million tons.
