Saudi Research and Media Group (SRMG) announced that it has been awarded the contract to operate and manage Al Thaqafeya , the cultural television channel affiliated with the Ministry of Culture.
The appointment reflects SRMG’s media, editorial, and operational expertise across platforms, and comes as the Kingdom continues to witness significant cultural growth under the leadership and support of the Ministry of Culture.
The new phase will build on the foundations established since Al Thaqafeya ’s launch, with a focus on advancing the channel’s editorial direction, expanding its content offering to serve a broader range of audience interests, and strengthening its digital presence.
Al Thaqafeya is dedicated to showcasing the diversity of Saudi Arabia’s cultural landscape, from its rich heritage to its contemporary creative scene. Through its programming, the channel highlights Saudi creativity and supports the presence of Saudi culture locally and internationally.

The enhanced programming grid is expected to launch gradually starting in September, with full details to be announced at the end of August.
