ANKARA — Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan met with Saudi Minister of Foreign Affairs Prince Faisal bin Farhan at the Presidential Complex in Ankara on Wednesday. During the meeting, the two leaders reviewed bilateral relations and ways to strengthen cooperation to serve common interests and solidify security and stability in the region. During the meeting, Prince Faisal conveyed the greetings and appreciation of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman and Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman to President Erdoğan, along with their sincere wishes for Türkiye and its people to have continued progress and prosperity.President Erdoğan, in turn, conveyed his greetings and appreciation to King Salman and the Crown Prince, wishing the Kingdom and its people further prosperity and development. Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Waleed Al-Khereiji, Saudi Ambassador to Türkiye Fahad Abualnasr, and Director General of the General Department for Councils and Committees Fahad Alharthi attended the meeting. The meeting emphasized the advanced relations between the two countries and their commitment to strengthening coordination and cooperation across all fields in a manner that serves common interests and meets the aspirations of the leadership and peoples of both countries.At the outset of the meeting, the two ministers reviewed relations between the two countries and emphasized the importance of institutionalizing current and future cooperation within the framework of the Saudi-Turkish Coordination Council to ensure sustainable progress and shared prosperity.They also stressed the need to leverage the capabilities andresources available to both countries to achieve mutual benefits, while commending the role of the council’s secretariat and affiliated committees.At the conclusion of the meeting, the two ministers signed the minutes of the third meeting and expressed their aspiration to hold the fourth meeting of the council in the Kingdom on a date to be agreed upon by both sides.
