US President Donald Trump said on Saturday that an agreement with Iran is scheduled to be signed on Sunday, adding that the Strait of Hormuz will be reopened immediately afterward.
In a post on his Truth Social, Trump wrote, “The deal is scheduled to get signed tomorrow, and immediately after it is signed, the Hormuz Strait is open to all”.
Earlier on Saturday, Iran’s Foreign Ministry indicated that the agreement would not be signed on Sunday, according to reports carried by state media.
