Trump rejects Iran’s peace proposal response as tensions over the regional conflict persist
US President Donald Trump rejected Iran’s response to the US peace proposal, describing it as “totally unacceptable” in a post on his platform Truth Social, without providing further details.
Days after the United States presented an offer aimed at reviving negotiations, Iran issued a response on Sunday focusing on ending the war across all fronts, particularly in Lebanon.
Iranian state television reported that Tehran also demanded compensation for war damages and reaffirmed Iran’s sovereignty over the Strait of Hormuz.
Iran further called on the United States to end its naval blockade, guarantee that no further attacks would be launched, lift sanctions, and remove the US ban on Iranian oil sales.
