In a statement to Tadawul, the company said the balance invested in the Saudi Film Fund was reclassified as a financial asset at fair value through profit or loss. It also reclassified comparative balances from other debit balances to financial assets at fair value through profit or loss.

The company noted that the reclassification was made in accordance with the requirements of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), adding that the accounting reclassification has no cash impact.

Tihama filed the lawsuit against MEFIC Capital in October 2025 over its role as manager of the Saudi Film Fund, according to Argaam’s data.

The lawsuit sought the return of the amounts transferred to the fund, citing the fund manager’s breach of the terms of the investment agreement signed to invest SAR 37.5 million in the Saudi Film Fund in exchange for a 10% stake in the fund, as the minimum fundraising requirement was not met during the offering period, pursuant to Clause 8-H of the agreement.

In May 2026, Tihama said the committee had dismissed its claims against MEFIC Capital. In August 2026, Tihama announced that the CRSD issued a decision upholding the ruling issued by the Primary Committee.
