JEDDAH — Thunderstorms accompanied by hail and gusty, dust-stirring winds are forecast to affect most regions of the Kingdom on Tuesday, according to the National Center for Meteorology (NCM). Conditions remain favorable for thunderstorms over parts of the Jazan, Asir, Al-Baha, and Makkah regions. Meanwhile gusty winds raising dust and sand are expected to affect those areas as well as parts of the Eastern, Riyadh, Northern Borders, Al-Jouf, Tabuk, and Madinah regions. Over the Red Sea, northwesterly to northerly winds are expected across the northern and central parts at speeds of 15–45 km/h, while northwesterly to westerly winds will prevail over the southern part at speeds of 10–50 km/h. Waves are forecast to range from 0.5 meters to more than 2 meters, with sea conditions varying from calm to choppy. In the Arabian Gulf, northwesterly to northerly winds will blow across the northern and central parts at speeds of 15–40 km/h, while northwesterly to northeasterly winds are expected over the southern part at speeds of 10–25 km/h. Waves will range from 0.5 meters to 1.5 meters, and the sea will be relatively calm.
