Saudi Arabia’s merchandise imports declined by 5%year-on-year (YoY) to nearly SAR 75.7 billion in April 2026.
Compared to March 2026, merchandise imports were up 27%, or nearly SAR 16.2 billion, according to GASTAT.
Machinery, mechanical appliances, electrical equipment and their parts topped imports in April, representing 33% or SAR 25.2 billion of the Kingdom’s total imports. Vehicles, aircraft, vessels, and associated transport equipment followed, making up about 10%.

Saudi Arabia’s imports came mainly from China, with SAR 22.3 billion, representing 29% of the total in April 2026. The UAE came in second with SAR 6 billion, followed by the US at SAR 5.5 billion.
