The Cabinet said swift operational and technical measures enabled production to resume at several facilities, underscoring the Kingdom’s flexibility and crisis management capabilities and helping ensure stable supplies to domestic and global markets.

It also noted that eight Saudi cities ranked highly in the 2026 Smart City Index published by the International Institute for Management Development (IMD), reflecting progress in public services, infrastructure, and quality of life.

Among other decisions, the Cabinet said the state will cover taxes and customs duties on live livestock imports from April 18 until the end of this year’s Hajj season.

The Cabinet also approved amendments to the Anti-Money Laundering Law and extended the Jeddah Historic District Program by two years.
