In a statement to Tadawul, the company said the delay was due to disruptions in global supply chains. The actual operation date will be announced once the necessary information becomes available.

Tasnee expects the financial impact of the delay to be reflected in the results for Q1 and Q2 2026, as it was unable to determine the financial impact on its consolidated financial statements, and will disclose any material developments in due course.

According to Argaam data, Tasnee had announced in January that the Saudi Ethylene and Polyethylene Co., a joint venture with Sahara Olefins Co., suspended operations starting January 2, 2026, for a scheduled maintenance period of 66 days.

In January, Tasnee announced that Saudi Ethylene and Polyethylene Co. (SEPC), a joint venture between Tasnee and Sahara Olefins Co., will undergo scheduled periodic maintenance starting Jan. 2 for approximately 66 days.
