“We are not only inviting you to invest in the Kingdom, but to invest with the Kingdom,” said Al-Mubarak on the sidelines of China International Fair for Investment and Trade 2026 in Xiamen.

Both countries have promising opportunities in advanced manufacturing, energy, technology and logistics, he noted, adding that Saudi economic zones offer exceptional competitive advantages for companies seeking to expand their businesses and target global markets.

Relations between the two countries have evolved into a comprehensive strategic partnership, with the alignment between Saudi Vision 2030 and the Belt and Road Initiative providing an important foundation for broader cooperation based on shared priorities.

Al-Mubarak said China is Saudi Arabia’s largest trading partner, while Saudi Arabia has the largest economic relationship with China among Middle Eastern countries, with bilateral trade approaching $115 billion in 2025.

The next phase will focus on maximizing economic and development impact, broadening investment opportunities, empowering the private sector, localizing diversified value chains and building national capabilities.

Chinese investments in the Kingdom jumped 27% to SAR 40 billion in 2025, with 1,900 Chinese companies currently operating in Saudi Arabia, 43 of which have established their regional headquarters in the Kingdom.

The Saudi ministry looks forward to stronger two-way investment flows between Saudi and Chinese companies, enabling them to work side by side on high-quality investments that foster joint innovation and sustainable investment.
