Saudi Advanced Industries Co.’s (SAIC) said its board accepted on Aug. 11 CEO Khalid Abukhadhra’s request not to renew his employment contract upon its expiry, citing personal reasons.
In a statement to Tadawul, the company said Abukhadhra’s departure will take effect on Oct. 12.
The board appointed Fares Al-Fares as CEO, effective Oct. 13.
Al-Fares has more than 20 years of executive and leadership experience in banking, investment and financing, and asset management.
Throughout his career, he has held several leadership positions, most recently serving as Chief Investment Officer at SAIC, as well as Head of Asset Management at Yaqeen Capital and Al Rajhi Capital.
He holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Prince Sultan University (PSU).
According to data available with Argaam, SAIC appointed Khalid Abukhadhra as CEO, effective Oct. 13, 2024.
