Public prosecutor urges faster case handling at meeting with regional prosecutors

RIYADH — Public Prosecutor and Chairman of the Public Prosecution Council Sheikh Khalid Al-Yousef met with the newly appointed heads of public prosecution offices across the Kingdom’s regions, urging them to accelerate case handling and enhance the quality of prosecution services.At the beginning of the meeting, Al-Yousef congratulated the newly appointed regional chief prosecutors on their appointments. He stressed that the responsibility requires integrity, sincerity, and dedication while safeguarding the rights of citizens and residents.He emphasized the importance of resolving cases efficiently and promptly in accordance with the law to improve the quality of services provided to beneficiaries.Al-Yousef also highlighted the need for continuous oversight of prosecution offices in the governorates, close supervision of their operations, and faster case completion in line with the leadership’s vision for a more efficient justice system.He reaffirmed the Public Prosecution’s commitment to strengthening prosecutorial performance, promoting institutional excellence, ensuring procedural justice, protecting rights and freedoms, and upholding the rule of law.
