RIYADH — The Ministry of Commerce conducted more than 151,000 inspections of commercial establishments and online stores during the second quarter of 2026.According to the ministry’s Consumer Bulletin for the quarter, inspectors also issued more than 4,000 discount permits covering over 12 million products and goods.The ministry said it processed more than 137,000 consumer complaints during the quarter, with the largest share related to online stores and violations of exchange and return policies. The average complaint processing time was 36 hours.As part of its consumer safety efforts, the ministry also carried out 25 product recall campaigns involving more than 48,000 defective vehicles and consumer products to address technical defects and enhance public safety.
