JAZAN —Patrol teams from the General Administration of Mujahideen in the Jazan region arrested a Pakistani resident for transporting 15 Ethiopian nationals who violated the Border Security Law. The Pakistani was referred to the Public Prosecution and the violators handed to the competent authorities after taking the necessary legal procedures. The General Administration of Mujahideen’s spokesperson emphasized that facilitating the entry of border security violators into Saudi Arabia, transporting or sheltering them, or providing them with any form of assistance carries penalties of up to 15 years in prison and a fine of up to SR1 million. Penalties also include confiscation of the vehicle used for transportation and publicizing names of violators in the local media at their own personal expense. The spokesperson stated that the crime is considered as a major offense. The public is urged to report violations of residency, labor, and border security regulations by calling 911 in the regions of Makkah, Madinah, Riyadh, and the Eastern Province and 999 or 996 in all other regions. All reports will be treated with strict confidentiality, and those who report violations will bear no liability.
