RIYADH — The Ministry of Municipalities has advised owners of vacant land to take advantage of the corrective grace period, which has been extended until 15 Rabi Al-Thani (September 26). The ministry also confirmed that municipalities across the Kingdom will continue conducting field inspections of vacant land to curb violations and enhance the quality of the urban environment. It stressed that the current phase focuses on strengthening compliance with municipal regulations and requirements governing vacant land, while addressing unauthorized uses that negatively impact the appearance of cities. The most common violations include the accumulation of construction waste and excavation debris, as well as the unlawful use of vacant land. The ministry urged owners of vacant land to comply with approved municipal requirements before the grace period expires, in order to avoid legal action and penalties associated with violations.
