RAFHA — Tuesday, Sept.1, marked the beginning of the meteorological fall season across Saudi Arabia, signaling the end of summer and the start of a transitional weather phase that will continue through November. Barjas Al-Fulaih, member of AFAQ Society for Astronomy, said that the arrival of fall does not trigger an immediate drop in heat. Instead, the season brings fluctuating weather and gradually moderating temperatures, bringing noticeably cooler conditions by November. He noted that September is historically the country’s fourth-hottest and driest month of the year. Due to Saudi Arabia’s vast geographical area and diverse terrain, weather patterns are expected to feature rapid shifts and temperature fluctuations throughout the first half of the month of September as the climate steadily transitions toward winter.
