Korea Electric Power Corp (KEPCO) signed a contract withSaudi Aramco to supply electricity and steam for the second phase of the Jafurah Cogeneration Power Plant in Saudi Arabia.

According to Yonhap News Agency, the project includes building a cogeneration plant with a capacity of 331 megawatts and steam output of around 465 tons per hour.

Once completed in June 2029, the plant will supply power and steam to Aramco for 17 years, with total expected revenues of about KRW 2.1 trillion (approximately $1.4 billion), the company said.

KEPCO added a joint special purpose vehicle with Aramco that will manage the project, while Doosan Enerbility will handle construction and the Export-Import Bank of Korea (Korea Eximbank) will support financing.
