RIYADH — The Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development is undertaking the development of a unified digital platform for social support and assistance. This initiative is designed to integrate a wide range of social support programs within a single window, enhancing their ability to reach and effectively serve individuals in need. The ministry noted that, although these programs vary in the nature of their benefits, services, and certain distinguishing features, they generally share similar implementation stages and operational mechanisms. Any differences are primarily shaped by the specific characteristics of each program and the needs of their respective target groups.Emphasizing user-centric design, the ministry highlighted the importance of flexibility and efficiency in managing the data of applicants and beneficiaries. It also underscored the need to accommodate the unique requirements of each program by clearly defining the data to be collected. This approach will ensure that the platform serves as a robust and effective tool, enabling social support programs to operate more efficiently and achieve their intended outcomes. The ministry currently delivers a broad portfolio of social support and assistance programs, including child support, youth empowerment, empowerment of persons with disabilities, workplace health and safety initiatives, support for the elderly, social protection services, as well as skills development and training programs.
