The Saudi Venture Capital Co. (SVC) said international investors deployed SAR 20 billion ($5.3 billion) into Saudi Arabia’s private markets in 2025, accounting for nearly 60% of the Kingdom’s total private investments.
According to an SVC report, the number of foreign investors has increased more than fivefold since 2019, rising from 28 to 148 investment institutions.
The investor base now includes participants from the US, Europe, and Southeast Asia.
SVC said foreign private investment refers to investments made by foreign funds in Saudi private companies, including capital that such funds may have raised from local investors.
Over the past five years, venture capital funding from foreign investors has increased tenfold. The number of deals rose from 27 in 2019 to 98 in 2024, before reaching 89 in 2025.
The average deal size increased from SAR 3.4 million ($0.9 million) to SAR 9.7 million ($2.6 million) and SAR 23.5 million ($6.3 million), reflecting the growing maturity of Saudi Arabia’s startup ecosystem, according to SVC.
