CEER, Saudi Arabia’s first automotive company, stated that it will launch its first electric vehicles, including sedan and SUV models, on Sept. 21.

The launch reflects Saudi Arabia’s strategic drive to develop an advanced industrial sector in line with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030. The move also aims to strengthen the Kingdom’s position in the global automotive industry, the state-run SPA reported.

CEER was established as a joint venture between the Public Investment Fund (PIF) and Foxconn. It is the first Saudi company focused on designing, engineering, testing and manufacturing vehicles, as well as sales and after-sales services in the Kingdom.
