Middle East Pharmaceutical Industries Co. (Avalon Pharma) said it signed commercialization and licensing agreements with Bio-Thera Solutions Ltd. (Bio-Thera) for BAT2406, a proposed biosimilar to Dupixent, covering Saudi Arabia and the rest of the MENA region, according to a statement to Tadawul.
Under the agreements, Bio-Thera will retain the responsibility for the development, manufacturing and supply of BAT2406, while Avalon Pharma will be responsible for obtaining regulatory approvals and commercializing the product in the licensed territory.
Under the agreements, Avalon Pharma has been granted exclusive rights to register and commercialize the product across Saudi Arabia and the MENA region.
The contract value represents less than 5% of the company’s revenue, based on its annual financial statements for 2025.
