Ziad Al-Murshed, Executive Vice President and CFO of Saudi Aramco
Saudi Arabian Oil Co. (Saudi Aramco) does not need to borrow to finance any shortfall, as its use of debt instruments is part of its ongoing strategy to efficiently manage its capital structure, said Ziad Al-Murshed, Executive Vice President and CFO. Borrowing helps lower the weighted average cost of capital (WACC), creating additional value for shareholders, he noted.
In an interview with Al Arabiya TV, Al-Murshed said Aramco reduced its gearing ratio from 6.3% to 5.5%, the lowest among its peers.
