The Air Arabia consortium will begin operating flights from King Fahd International Airport (KFIA) in Dammam on Sunday, Sept. 20, 2026, to three domestic destinations: Riyadh, Jeddah, and Madinah.
The announcement follows the consortium’s receipt of an Air Operator Certificate (AOC) from the Saudi General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA).
The consortium comprises Air Arabia Group, Nesma Group, and Saudi-majority-owned KEN Holding Co.
According to the Emirates News Agency (WAM), the carrier will operate two daily flights from Dammam to both Riyadh and Jeddah, as well as one daily flight to Madinah, providing travelers with additional travel options.
According to Argaam data, the Air Arabia consortium won in July 2025 a competition launched by GACA to establish and operate a new national low-cost carrier based at KFIA in Dammam, aimed at enhancing domestic and international air connectivity in the Eastern Province.
The launch follows the Saudi Ministry of Transport and Logistics Services’ handover of the AOC to the alliance on Monday, enabling it to commence operations as a new national low-cost carrier from KFIA.
