The National Privatization Strategy made notable progress through mid-2026, with 10 privatization and public-private partnership (PPP) projects launched since the start of the year, the Ministry of Finance (MOF) said.

In its preliminary statement for the 2027 budget, the ministry said the projects included the Prince Naif bin Abdulaziz International Airport project in Qassim under a PPP model and an investment project involving five sports clubs.

The ministry also announced the signing of two PPP contracts for the SABIC Mental Health Hospital project in the healthcare sector and the Jubail Container Terminal project in the transport and logistics sector.

The number of signed PPP contracts reached 83, with a total value estimated at SAR 28.3 billion, in addition to 12 asset ownership transfer contracts.

Meanwhile, private-sector capital investments exceeded SAR 56.2 billion.

The strategy aims to increase total private-sector capital investments from privatization transactions to SAR 240 billion by 2030.
