SVCP’s ownership in Laffan Saudi will therefore stand at 55%
Saudi Vitrified Clay Pipes Co. (SVCP) announced the completion of Laffan Qatar’s entry as a shareholder in Laffan Saudi through subscribing to the new shares in exchange for an in-kind contribution, representing a 45% stake. SVCP’s ownership in Laffan Saudi will therefore stand at 55%.
In a statement to Tadawul, the company said that approval was granted for Laffan Saudi to convert from a single-member limited liability company into an unlisted Saudi joint stock company, with issued capital of SAR 45.5 million, divided into 45.5 million ordinary shares of equal value, with a nominal value of SAR 1 per share. The full issued capital has been paid up through in-kind contributions.
Approval for Laffan Saudi’s conversion and the completion of Laffan Qatar’s entry as a shareholder was granted on Sept. 15, 2026, the statement added.
According to Argaam data, SVCP signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Qatar-based Laffan Pipe Factory (LPF) in February 2024 to establish an industrial company engaged in the manufacturing and trading of high-density plastic pipes and accessories.
In August 2024, the Saudi-listed firm signed a partnership agreement with Laffan Qatar, under which Laffan Qatar would become a 45% partner in Laffan Saudi.
