Market expectations for a September interest-rate hike declined following comments from Federal Reserve Governor Christopher Waller, who said he supports keeping monetary policy unchanged if data continue to show easing inflationary pressures, according to Reuters.

Data from the CME FedWatch Tool indicate that traders are pricing in a 50% probability of an interest-rate hike at the Fed’s meeting this month.
