HUMAIN, a Public Investment Fund (PIF) company specializing in integrated AI solutions, plans to initially raise $2.5 billion from global and local investors for a fund investing in data centers in Saudi Arabia, Bloomberg reported, citing sources.
The sources said the fund will help finance 250-megawatt data centers being built by HUMAIN in partnership with Al Moammar Information Systems (MIS), adding that capacity could eventually increase to 1 gigawatt.
BSF Capital will manage the fund, while the Saudi Investment Bank (SAIB) will begin soliciting investors after obtaining approval from the Capital Market Authority (CMA), a process that could take two to three months, the sources said. The financing will comprise a mix of debt and equity.
