Aleksei Valkov, deputy CEO of Roscongress Foundation and director of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF), said a number of agreements were signed between the Russian and Saudi delegations during the forum.
Speaking to Argaam, Valkov said the two delegations held extensive discussions covering visit programs and agreements scheduled to be signed as part of the forum’s activities.
He added that representatives from Saudi Arabia are also participating in several panel sessions at the forum and expressed confidence that these discussions will help advance dialogue on economic and investment cooperation opportunities between the two countries.
Valkov noted that Saudi Arabia is participating this year with a large pavilion showcasing a number of projects and initiatives at the forum.
He described Saudi Arabia as a longstanding partner of the event and welcomed the Kingdom’s strong participation this year, particularly as it coincides with the 100th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Saudi Arabia and Russia.
The participation of representatives from both the Saudi public and private sectors reflects the depth of economic ties between the two countries and their shared interest in expanding cooperation, Valkov noted.
