The White House denied a report by Iranian state television claiming a preliminary unofficial framework draft for a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the US aimed at ending the conflict between the two countries, reopening the Strait of Hormuz, and ending the US naval blockade.

In a post published Wednesday on X, the White House described the Iranian report as false, adding that the referenced MoU was “fabricated.”

The denial came after Iranian state television reported that it had reviewed a draft memorandum under which Tehran would restore commercial shipping traffic through the Strait of Hormuz to pre-war levels within one month, in exchange for the US lifting its naval blockade.
