In an interview with Fortune today, May 18, Trump explained that inflation data and economic figures cannot be effectively evaluated until the war concludes.

He added that rising energy costs linked to the conflict with Iran complicate the path toward monetary easing, despite his continuous support for looser monetary policy to trim debt-servicing burdens and stimulate economic growth.
