Saudi Arabia’s real gross domestic product (GDP) rose 2.8% year-on-year (YoY) in the first quarter of 2026, according to flash estimates by the General Authority for Statistics (GASTAT).

Oil activities increased 2.3%, while non-oil activities grew 2.8%. Government activities rose 1.5%, GASTAT said.

The authority began publishing flash estimates for quarterly GDP in Q3 2020 to provide timely data on the economy for policymakers and users.

GASTAT defines flash estimates as preliminary quarterly national accounts compiled shortly after the end of the reference period, when data is still incomplete.
