ACWA Power Co. headquarters
ACWA Power Co. has been awarded the contracts to develop the Noor Midelt 2 and Noor Midelt 3 solar photovoltaic (PV) projects in Morocco, in partnership with public and private entities, after a request for proposal (RFP) launched by The Moroccan Agency for Sustainable Energy (Masen). 
Each project comprises a 400MW PV plant integrated with battery energy storage systems (bess), combining for a total of 602MWh of storage capacity.

The projects will be developed under a build-own-operate (BOO) model and are backed by a 30-year power purchase agreement with Masen, which is expected to be signed shortly.
