Oil tanks
US crude oil inventories retreated for the third straight week in the week ended Dec. 6, shedding as many as 1.4 million barrels, against forecasts for a fall of nearly one million barrels, the Energy Information Administration (EIA) data showed.
Gasoline stocks, on the other hand, climbed by 5.1 million barrels, with distillate stocks, including diesel and heating oil, also up by about 3.2 million barrels.
