MAKKAH — The Special Forces for Environmental Security (SFES) apprehended five Pakistani residents for violating environmental regulations by illegally extracting sediment in the Makkah region. Legal procedures were initiated against them in accordance with applicable laws. The SFES stated that five pieces of equipment used for excavating and transporting soil were seized. The forces emphasized their continued efforts to monitor and apprehend practices that constitute an attack on the environment or wildlife. The SFES urged the public to report such violations by calling 911 in the regions of Makkah, Madinah, Riyadh, and the Eastern Province, and 999 and 996 in the rest of the Kingdom. They stressed that all reports are treated with complete confidentiality and that reporters bear no responsibility.
