KYIV — Russia launched more than 2,200 drones, around 1,650 aerial bombs and 38 missiles of various types at Ukraine over the past week, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said Sunday.In a statement on Telegram, Zelenskyy said three people were killed in the Zaporizhzhia region and one man was killed in Kyiv following overnight Russian drone strikes.“Unfortunately, there are deaths from Russian strikes tonight,” he said.Zelenskyy said a data center in Kyiv was struck twice on Sunday morning, with three people, including two children, injured in the first attack.He said Ukraine was continuing to work with European countries, the US, Canada, Japan, Australia and other partners to strengthen its defenses and pursue diplomatic efforts.Meanwhile, Russia’s Defense Ministry said its forces had struck Ukrainian logistics, port and transport infrastructure, communications facilities and vessels it said were being used in support of Ukraine’s armed forces.The ministry said a Vodafone data center in Kyiv, a logistics center in the Kyiv region, two drone warehouses in Mykolaiv and a logistics center in the Odesa region were among the targets hit.It also claimed strikes on a Ukrainian naval base headquarters, a border guard facility, military storage sites and port infrastructure in Kiliia in the Odesa region.The ministry further said Russian forces struck a dry cargo vessel that it claimed was carrying military and dual-use supplies to the port of Odesa.Separately, Russia’s Defense Ministry said its Northern Group of Forces had taken control of the settlement of Khrypuny in Ukraine’s Kharkiv region.
