US President Donald Trump approved a 30-year civil nuclear cooperation agreement with Saudi Arabia that could pave the way for uranium enrichment within the Kingdom, The Wall Street Journal reported, citing US administration officials. 
According to the report, the agreement includes a joint US-Saudi study to assess the feasibility of establishing uranium enrichment capabilities in Saudi Arabia.
If the study concludes that the project is viable, US companies could be tasked with building a uranium enrichment facility in the Kingdom.
The agreement is expected to be signed by US Energy Secretary Chris Wright and Saudi Minister of Energy Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman, before being submitted to the US Congress for review in the coming days.
