The overall unemployment rate among the working-age population declined to 3% in Q2 2026
The unemployment rate among Saudis rose to 6.5% in Q2 2026, compared with 6.4% at the end of Q1 2026, according to the General Authority for Statistics’ (GASTAT) Labor Force Survey results released today. 
The unemployment rate among Saudi males stood at around 4.8%, while the rate among Saudi females reached around 9.6%.
Based on Labor Force Survey estimates, the overall unemployment rate among the working-age population stood at 3% in Q2 2026, compared with 3.1% in Q1 2026.
