Saudi Fisheries Co.said that the first and second extraordinary general meetings (EGM), scheduled to be held in person at the company’s headquarters and virtually on Sept. 2, were not held.

The company said in a statement on Tadawul that the meetings were not held due to failure to meet the required quorum, with attendance reaching 13.67% at the first meeting and 14.10% at the second.

The required quorum for the first meeting is 50% of the company’s shares carrying voting rights, while the quorum for the second meeting is 25% of shares carrying voting rights.

The company said it will later invite shareholders to the third EGM after setting its date and obtaining the approval of the relevant regulatory authorities. The third meeting will be held regardless of the number of shareholders in attendance, in accordance with the applicable laws and regulations.

According to Argaamdata, the company had set Sept. 2, for the EGM to vote on a SAR 334.9 million capital increase through a rights issue.
