JAZAN —Patrols of the General Administration of Mujahideen in the Jazan region arrested a Saudi citizen for transporting two Yemeni nationals who violated the Border Security Law. The transporter was referred to the Public Prosecution while the violators were handed to the competent authority. The General Administration of Mujahideen’s spokesperson emphasized that facilitating the entry of border security violators into Saudi Arabia, transporting or sheltering them, or providing them with any form of assistance carries penalties of up to 15 years in prison and a fine of up to SR1 million. Penalties also include confiscation of the vehicle used for transportation and public naming.The spokesperson stated that the crime is considered a major offense. The public is urged to report violations of residency, labor, and border security regulations by calling 911 in the regions of Makkah, Madinah, Riyadh, and the Eastern Province and 999 or 996 in all other regions. All reports will be treated with strict confidentiality, and those who report violations will bear no liability.
