Saudi Chemical Holding Co. announced, through its subsidiary AJA Pharmaceutical Industries Co. (AJA Pharma), the completion of the testing phase and the start of initial operations for the fourth production line — the advanced sterile injections line.
This came after the successful production of the first trial batches in accordance with approved standards.
The company said in a statement on Tadawul that this development represents an initial operational phase within the project implementation plan and aims to strengthen manufacturing capabilities in the pharmaceutical sector and support the localization of value-added drug manufacturing.
It clarified that this phase does not mark the start of commercial production, noting that an announcement will be made in due course after completing the relevant regulatory and operational requirements.
The company expects the commercial operation phase to have a positive impact on its performance.
Saudi Chemical had announced in September 2018 the start of commercial production at AJA Pharma’s plant for the tablets and liquids lines under Phase 1, which included three production lines: tablets, liquids, and creams, according to Argaam data.
