RIYADH — The volume of loans provided by Saudi banks to the private sector and non-financial government institutions surged 7 percent reaching more than SR3.54 trillion by the end of July 2026, compared to SR3.32 trillion during the same period in 2025.According to the monthly bulletin issued by the Saudi Central Bank (SAMA), the private sector accounted for more than 92 percent of total loans, while loans extended to non-financial government institutions represented approximately 8 percent.The data showed that loans provided by Saudi banks and financial institutions to the private sector reached SR 3,266.5 billion by the end of July 2026, marking an increase of approximately 6 percent compared to the same period in 2025. Loans extended to non-financial government institutions amounted to approximately SR274 billion by the end of July 2026, an increase of more than 4 percent compared to the same period in 2025.
