Saudi Arabia’s defense ministry said on Sunday it intercepted and destroyed three drones after they entered the Kingdom’s airspace from Iraq.

Defense Ministry Spokesperson General Turki Al-Malki said the drones were intercepted on Sunday morning.

Al-Malki said the ministry reserved the right to respond “at the appropriate time and place” and would take all necessary operational measures against any attempt to threaten the Kingdom’s sovereignty, security, or the safety of citizens and residents.
