Saudi Public Transport Co. (SAPTCO) announced that its accumulated losses declined to 16.17% of its SAR 1.25 billion share capital as of June 30, 2026.
In a statement to Tadawul, the company said accumulated losses stood at SAR 202.1 million.
The measures taken to reduce accumulated losses included implementing a strategy focused on improving operational efficiency and enhancing profitability across its business segments and units.

SAPTCO also cited higher operating revenue, driven by increased passenger volumes across its public transport services. The company expanded its passenger transport operations after securing urban public transport projects in Madinah, Jeddah, Dammam, Taif, Jazan, Qassim, Tabuk, Al-Ahsa and Abha.

it also expanded into maintenance and logistics services by establishing new subsidiaries as part of efforts to diversify its revenue streams.

According to data compiled by Argaam, SAPTCO reported a 548% year-on-year surge in net profit to SAR 71 million in H1 2026, from SAR 11 million in the corresponding period of 2025.

Q2 net profit rose 86% YoY to SAR 65.7 million.
